COVID-19 Update
In order to continue to protect the health and safety of our beneficiaries Weed Army Community Hospital (WACH) continues to require 100 percent Face Coverings and temperature/screening assessment for all personnel prior to entering any of the facilities (WACH, JVTMC, Embedded Behavioral Health, Mary Walker Center, Army Wellness Center, and screening trailers).
COVID-19 Testing
Weed Army Community Hospital is conducting mandatory COVID-19 viral testing for Service Members (Active, Reserve, and National Guard) and their family members reporting to The National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California, for change of duty station and rotational training.
Partial Resumption of Services:
– Emergency Department (ED): Continues to provide 24/7 emergency services
– Primary Care Clinics: Hours of operation extended to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The clinic will provide 50% virtual health and 50 percent in clinic (face to face) appointments. Appointments are available for Army physicals (PHAs, Flight physicals, etc.), wellness visits, and school physicals.
– OB/GYN: The Women’s Health Clinic is continuing routine prenatal care with a mix of telephonic and face-to-face visits.
– Ortho / General Surgery: Limited clinic hours. Emergency and urgent surgical services are accessible via the ED. Limited outpatient and elective surgery services. COVID-19 testing required prior to any surgical procedures.
– Behavioral Health Clinic (to include Embedded Behavioral Health): Continues to operate normal hours in person and by telephone where therapy can be performed.
– Pharmacy: Continues Curbside Pick-Up. For medication refills — STEP 1: Call 760-380-3127 option 1, 1 or Tricareonline.com at least 24 hours prior to pick-up. STEP 2: The next business day, call 760-380-3127 option 1, 4 for confirmation and arrange curbside pick-up. If your provider called in a new prescription follow STEP 2 above.
– Nutrition Care Division: The Oasis Café has 25-50 percent seating capacity. Breakfast 6:00-8:30; M-F. Grab and go (for specific items) 10-11 a.m., Monday-Friday; and 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday-Friday.
– Army Wellness Center: Returned to in-house appointments, hours are noon-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Services are available to Service members, Family members and DOD/DA Civilians. Call for an appointment at 760-380-7373.
Please note: BH and OB/GYN services are also available 24/7 thru the ED.
