The Air Force selected 52 primary and alternate attendees for the U.S. Air Force, U.S Naval, British, and French test pilot schools, with classes slated to begin in June 2016.
The 2015 USAF Test Pilot School Selection Board, which convened in July, considered 149 officer and civilian candidates for pilot, flight test engineer, combat systems officer and remotely-piloted aircraft pilots.
“Selection for TPS is a significant achievement in an Airman’s career,” said Maj. Daniel Kenan, Air Force Personnel Center assignments. “TPS trains officers and civilians to develop, test, and evaluate the newest aircraft and weapons systems, and graduates have profound strategic impact on the development of future combat capabilities, which will ensure Air Force mission dominance for years to come.”
Program graduates will earn a Master of Science in Flight Test Engineering through Air University.
