ArmorSource LLC has been selected by the U.S. Marine Corps to deliver 10,000 Lightweight Helmets.
These helmets will be delivered during the first three quarters of 2017.
“This is the third significant order ArmorSource has received from the US Government since the beginning of 2016,” said Yoav Kapah, ArmorSource president and CEO. “Needless to say, we are proud and excited about this and we see orders as a clear sign of the Government’s trust in ArmorSource, its employees, and its leading technology.”
In addition to the LWH, ArmorSource is the only vendor authorized to build the new Lightweight Advanced Combat Helmet for the U.S. Army. Delivery of the LWACH began last month with a total of 105,000 helmets to be delivered by the end of 2016. The LWACH will allow the soldier to replace the Advanced Combat Helmet with a lighter and more ballistically sound helmet.
ArmorSource was also recently awarded a long-term “blanket” order of Personal Armor System for Ground Troops helmets for supply to the United States’ allied countries through Foreign Military Sales.
Production for all of these helmets will take place at ArmorSource’s headquarters in Hebron, Ohio.
