FORT IRWIN, Calif. — The Fort Irwin Chapel and community came together to donate food baskets for more than 100 families on post. Operation Helping Hand is an initiative to provide a Thanksgiving meal to soldiers and their families. The basket includes a $15 voucher for a ham or turkey at the commissary and a host of other traditional goodies. Volunteers on post helped put together all of the baskets and distribute them to the community.
