Track & field

The Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center is featuring a track and field competition 7:30 to 11 a.m. April 29. Events include the 100, 400 and 800-yard dashes, and the 800 and 1800-yard relays along with a one-mile run in male and female divisions. There will be awards for the top three male and female finishers. For more information, call 623-856-6241.

Pitch, hit and run

The Luke AFB Youth Center is featuring a pitch, hit and run major league baseball competition at 10 a.m.  April 30 at Mark Grace Baseball Field. The event is free and broken into age groups: 7 to 8, 9 to 10, 11 to 12 and 13-14. For more information, call 623-856-7470.

Half marathon

The Luke AFB Bryant Fitness Center is featuring a 13.1-mile run through the base at 5:30 a.m. May 7. The cost is $20 per runner. There will be trophies, prizes, T-shirts and refreshments. For more information, call 623-856-6241.

White Tank Mountain hike

The Luke AFB Outdoor Recreation is featuring a two-hour horseback ride at White Tank Mountain Range for single Airmen only. The event is
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7. The cost is $20 per single Airman and is limited to 11 participants. For more information, call 623-856-6267.

Junior golf clinic

The Falcon Dunes Golf Course is featuring a junior golf clinic 9 to 10 a.m.
Saturday. The cost is $20 per clinic or $30 for both. Instruction includes grip, stance, driving, chipping, putting and golf etiquette. For more information, call 623-535-9334.

K-1 speed racing

Outdoor recreation is featuring K1 speed racing at 10 a.m. Saturday. Race to beat your own time. Top three racers receive a T-shirt and an award. For more information, call 623-856-6267.
