BREMERTON, Wash.–Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Ryan Blackwell, from Cary, Illinois, and Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Anthony Napolis, from Tehachapi, Calif., finish donning self contained breathing apparatuses in USS John C. Stennis’ (CVN 74) hangar bay during a general quarters drill. John C. Stennis is conducting a planned incremental availability (PIA) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, during which the ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
