Northrop Grumman recognized 24 companies with Supplier Excellence awards for their valuable contributions to the company and its customers at their annual Supplier Recognition Program Nov. 13.
The Supplier Recognition Program recognizes suppliers that continuously provide outstanding support to Northrop Grumman and its Information Systems sector. Information Systems utilized more than 5,600 suppliers during 2015, of which 50 percent were small businesses, 14 percent women-owned, 8 percent small disadvantaged businesses and 6 percent veteran-owned. All suppliers were evaluated based on five categories: schedule, management, technical, financial and quality.
In recognizing the recipients, Kathy Warden, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Information Systems, said, “Each of our awardees has made significant contributions to Northrop Grumman and has helped to ensure the ongoing success of our programs and the critical missions of our customers.”
“Northrop Grumman is pleased to honor this year’s Supplier Excellence Award winners,” said Cynthia Hyland, vice president, Global Supply Chain. “This is a highly competitive award and we congratulate the 2015 winners.”
Of the suppliers recognized, more than 70 percent were small and socio-economic business partners.
