Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Mintey is the daughter of Karen M. and Patrick N. Mintey Jr., and granddaughter of Paula L. and Patrick N. Mintey Sr., all of Quartz Hill, Calif.
She is a 2015 graduate of Quartz Hill High School, Quartz Hill, Calif.
