DFAC closes
The Ray V. Hensman Dining Facility is closed for repairs and upgrades and will remain closed until further notice. Essential Station Messing card members will be placed on base allowance for subsistence during that time. The Falcon Inn Flight Kitchen will be open, however; if meal card members choose to eat there, they will be considered cash paying customers and charged a surcharge. Scholarships for military children
The Scholarships for Military Children Program are accepting applications at the Luke Air Force Base Commissary and commissaries around the world. Applicants must be a dependent, unmarried child, younger than 21, or 23 if enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university, of active-duty service members, Reserve or Guard members, retirees or survivors of a military member who died while on active duty, or survivor of a retiree. Heartlink is a spouse-orientation program introducing new spouses to Air Force procedures and customs while highlighting the valuable role they play on the Air Force team. The orientation is 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at the 56th Force Support Squadron Airman & Family Readiness Center and includes a base tour, lunch, games and prizes.
