Individuals traveling to the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center will see major traffic changes near the facility over the next year as the next phase of improvements begin on the northern portion of the Clark County 215 Beltway between North 5th Street and Lamb Boulevard.
The first major impact to the VA medical center began July 23 as the current bridge in front of the VA Medical Center at 215 Beltway and North Pecos Road closed for approximately four months for demolition and construction of a new bypass bridge.
Individuals traveling to the VA Medical Center westbound on the 215 Beltway from Interstate 15 will not be able to exit at North Pecos Road. Travelers will need to exit at S. Lamb Boulevard or Losee Road.
Individuals traveling to VA Medical Center eastbound on the 215 Beltway from the northwest will be able to exit southbound on N. Pecos Road, but will need to use S. Lamb Boulevard or Losee Road to travel westbound on the 215 from the facility.
North Pecos Road will remain open to eastbound traffic toward Interstate 15 on the 215 Beltway from the facility during this phase of construction.
Those traveling to the VA medical center on northbound Interstate 15 from Las Vegas are advised to use the Interstate 15 Lamb Boulevard exit and take E. Centennial Pkwy to Pecos Road.
With a construction project of this magnitude, individuals traveling to the VA medical center are reminded to plan ahead for delays and to remain vigilant as speed limit and traffic flow changes, lane closures, and congestion will impact commute times.
