CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — The education office continues to provide Airmen here opportunities to further both their personal and professional education requirements.
Currently, the education office offers career development course testing, skill-level testing, professional military education testing, and GI Bill and Community College of the Air Force counseling. Airmen can complete PME and CDC tests in Thursdays at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., or 1 p.m.
The guidance for Airmen looking to either start or complete their CCAF includes how to use their tuition assistance, document approval, and helpful tips when starting class.  Airmen can receive counseling over the phone, by walking in Mondays thru Wednesdays and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Airmen can also receive information about the Air Force TA program, which is designed to help active duty personnel with up to $4,500 of college tuition per fiscal year. The degree programs or courses, whether academic or technical, can be taken from accredited institutions either on base or off base.

Currently, the education office still coordinates and partners with the Nellis education office for CLEP, DANTES and language testing.
Changes to dependent education options
The Lomie G. Heard Elementary School located on Nellis AFB will no longer be a part of the Clark County School District starting at the end of the 2015-2016 school year. The U.S. Air Force is working with Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas to bring a public charter school to the base to offer more choices for military families.
The CASLV plans to accommodate 600 students free of charge in the existing Lomie G. Heard facility until the new facility is completed which would accommodate 800 students from Kindergarten through eighth grade.

Nevada also recently passed the Education Savings Account (ESA) which allows parents to remove their children from public schools and access a portion of or all of public education funding to pay for private school tuition, tutoring, learning therapies and more.
In order to access the possible $5,100 to $5,700 per year, students must attend public school for 100 consecutive days.
