Airman 1st Class Alex Dyer, 99th Medical Operations Squadron medical technician, writes a name on a pink ribbon for the Breast Cancer Tree of Honor in the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Oct. 17. The tree allows beneficiaries the opportunity to place the name of someone in their family who is fighting, has survived or in memory of someone who lost their life to breast cancer. October is observed as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month because it is the most common cancer in American women.
