Members of the 99th Communications Squadron Cyber Readiness Inspection team speak with Col. Paul Murray, 99th Air Base Wing commander during a mock readiness inspection on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Oct. 21. The CCRI is conducted by the Defense Information Systems Agency and it is designed to assess an installation’s overall cyber readiness and security of its Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network systems. While the 99th Communications Squadron has the lead during this inspection and will do most of the preparation for the inspection itself, it is every team Nellis/Creech/NTTR members’ duty to remain cognizant of basic cyber security pitfalls.
