U.S. Army signaleers vital to new strategy in Afghanistan

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Bina K. Cheema of Las Vegas, Nev., stands with packaged Microwave Line-of-Sight radios aboard a C-17 Globemaster III, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Feb. 18. After extensive coordination to prepare and ship the radios under a compressed schedule, Cheema traveled to Afghanistan with them to ensure timely delivery. The radios are part of the effort to meet increased communications requirements in direct support of the change in U.S. strategy in Afghanistan.
