Welcome to the July 5th edition of Nellis-Creech AFB Desert Lightning News! With the Independence Day holiday upon us, it seems only fitting that we should lead off this issue with something explosive 😊 We’re taking a look at our hard-working EOD technicians, ensuring the safety of all personnel working at the Nevada Test and Training Range by clearing the area of any dangerous explosives left behind after training exercises. EOD executes more than 40 range clearance missions every year, disposing of more than 10,000 unexploded ordnance annually.
