On April 4, 2017, which was the 34th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Challenger’s maiden voyage, a modified NASA Gulfstream III took off at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., to become the first NASA aircraft to fly with a twisted wing flap configuration.
